Description

Mass Spectrometry Scientists - Several Great Opportunities

Discover, develop, innovate, implement and perform high-resolution LC-MS/MS quantitative analyses for novel blood-based biomarkers used for research, clinical trials, and clinical diagnosis of human neurodegenerative diseases (e.g., Alzheimer's disease).

Maintain and operate LC, LC-MS/MS instruments, automated liquid handlers, laboratory information management system, and related laboratory equipment used to prepare and analyze blood-based biomarkers. 

Comply with and adapt to laboratory regulations, standards, policies, protocols, processes, procedures, plans, standards, and schedules implemented to maintain quality control, process improvement, staff proficiency/competency training.



Requirements

Prefer: PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Laboratory Medicine, Mass Spectrometry, or related technical field
Accept: Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biology, or related technical field with 3+ years experience in R&D or a CLIA-accredited laboratory.
Minimum Requirement: Medical Technologist degree/certification with 5+ years experience in R&D or a CLIA-accredited laboratory familiar with LC or LC-MS in vitro diagnostics testing.

Skills: 

  • Training and experience with LC, LC-MS/MS-based biomolecule quantification.
  • Highly motivated, achievement-oriented, attention to detail, well-organized, team player, with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for MS analytical workflows. Good oral and written communication skills are required.
